Geo-Mole was created to provide efficient installation of heat capture systems in tight spaces.

During operations the equipment connected to a compressor and the internal piston action provides a continuous series of pneumatically powered impacts which drives the unit into the ground. This operation may take a number of days and the unit is expected to operate continuously for this period.

The unit is not expected to be serviced once its final position has been reached, it remains in place and act as a "U" connection for the pipework. Thus it is intended as a single-use device.

How it Works

The Geo-Mole removes the need for large machinery and can access restricted areas like terraces, cellars, and small gardens.

The newly designed and engineered mole is a sacrificial, pneumatic, self propelled soil displacement tool, which is powered by a portable compressor.

Cleverly designed valve and pressure conveying lines within the system enable efficient and more targeted operation.

02

Conventional Impact Mole

The equipment could be used as a conventional (non-guided) impact mole as a trench-less method to lay pipes.

The mole would then be covered at the end of its travel and could be re-used.

03

The Product Versatility

The equipment is intended to be pneumatically self-propelled into the ground carrying the heat capture pipework and, once the appropriate depth has been reached.

To remain in place and act as a “U” connection for the pipework. This is intended as a single-use device.

Cleverly designed valve and pressure conveying lines within the system enable efficient and more targeted operation.

The main benefit of the Geo-Mole is to be able to overcome the problems of site access for drilling rigs and the mess caused by the installation of horizontal ‘slinky’ heat collection networks necessary at present for the installation of Ground Source Heat Pumps.

The increased speed in placing the heat collection network and its lack of mess reduce the cost of ground source heat pump installations for the consumer and expand the use of ground source heat pumps.
